Shirts that flatter your body – Part Two

Written by Suzanne Lee Dunn on December 2nd, 2011.      0 comments

Tranquil Shirt Aqua Sky The ‘Tranquil Shirt’ (click here) is a completely different look to the ‘Makemecross Shirt’ (click here) but just as versatile.  Being a slightly longer length this shirt takes on a light weight ‘coat’ look when worn open over things.

A sewn on front placket is edge stitched to enhance that vertical line.  The concaved hemline is flattering through the thigh and very slimming from the side.  The crushed look is big this season but not always flattering unless, of course, the crushes only run vertically down the body like in our ‘Tranquil Shirt’ (click here).

Shirts that flatter your body

Makemecross Shirt Pictured here is the ‘Makemecross Shirt’ (click here). Where to begin with the slimming features!  The front is split into 2 with an edge stitched panel seam that runs down the body and opens up to an inverted pleat.  When this shirt is worn open there are 3 vertical lines running down the body optically cutting you down half to a whole size!

The ‘Makemecross Shirt’ is pictured with the funky ‘Check-It-Out tunic’ underneath (click here) and the oh so comfortable Mermaid Denim Skirt (click here).

Flattering Shirts and how to wear them

Written by Suzanne Lee Dunn on December 2nd, 2011.      0 comments

Tranquil Shirt

Shirts help create the layered look when you wear them open over cami’s and tunics.  This also makes them fabulously versatile because they double as a light weight Jacket when worn in this way.  The shirt takes on a completely different look when worn open, therefore you’ll get a lot more use, plus the vertical line created by the opening is extremely flattering.

My number one tip when buying a shirt is also buy something to match that you can wear underneath it.  This will force you to wear it in this way and at KOOKY it’s easy because, as you all know, we create a multitude of mix-n-match separates.
